A facelift and/or necklift addresses aging in the mid-face, lower face, and neck. With time, skin laxity, volume loss, and gravity forces will cause the skin and tissue to drop and sag. This can result in wrinkling, deepening of the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, loss of a crisp jawline, excess/loose skin under the chin, and vertical bands in the neck- producing an aged appearance. By lifting, repositioning, and tightening the muscular layer of the face and neck, and conservatively excising skin, Dr. Obourn is able to provide a natural and rejuvenated look.
This procedure is often performed in conjunction with procedures to address excess eyelid skin and/or puffiness of the eyelids (blepharoplasty), brow descent (browlift), volume loss (i.e. fat transfer or filler), excess submental fat (submental liposuction), etc.
Dr. Obourn is trained in a variety of face-lifting techniques and will customize your surgical plan based on your specific concerns and goals. This will be discussed in detail at your consult.
