CHIN AUGMENTATION
An individual’s profile is largely influenced by his or her chin. Looking at profile pictures, people often become focused on their nose (thinking that it is too large) while it is the chin that is actually weak. While a “stronger chin” is often considered more masculine and a “sharper chin” perhaps more feminine, a weak chin can create an appearance that the facial proportions are distorted.
Technique
Utilizing a synthetic chin implant, Dr. Obourn can help you achieve a more natural and proportional appearance. Chin implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be customized specifically for you. The implant is typically placed through a small incision that is hidden under the chin, in a way that looks and feels very natural. It is not uncommon to have some swelling and/or bruising after the procedure.
